Master Shao Aidong's Ancestral Family Of Prophets


One day long ago, on a footpath in Hui County, in Henan Province, an old man was hurrying along when he was stopped by a stranger. The stranger told him he should abandon his trip to the dinner party. The old man was amazed that this stranger knew where he was going. He asked him why and was warned that if he attended the dinner, he would die. The old man though the stranger was very rude to take it on himself to give such advice and though he hesitated for a moment, he continued on his way. But at the dinner a fish bone lodged in his throat and he choked to death.

The stranger's name was Master Shao Kangjie, the famous scholar of YiChing (Known in th West as the I Ching or Book of changes). He lived from 1011-1077 in the Sung Dynasty, a time when study of the I Ching was at its height.

It is said that on one occasion Master Shao Kanjie saw two birds fighting on a plum blossom tree. One fell from the tree, breaking its leg. From this incident Master Shao predicted that on the same night, two women would try to break into the garden by climbing over the wall but that one of them would fall and break her leg. So it happened, Master Shao had found a unique way of foretelling the future and he founded the MEIHUA YI SHU (The way of changes and calculations from the plum blossom tree).

Through the generations which followed, there were many scholars of the Iching in Master Shao Aidong's ancestral family. Then in 1936 the great Master Shao Weihua was born in the city of Yang Zhou (Zhe Jiang Province of China). The great master has dedicated his entire life to the study of the Iching and his book on the prophecies of theIChing, published in 1990, has had a profound impact the length and breadth of China, having a circulation second only to the works of Chairman Mao.

In 1984, it was reported that Mr. Chernenko, the general party secretary of the former Soviet Union, was unwell. The great master Shao Weihua was consulted about the matter on the 2nd of Febuary. Using the sacred Bagua diagrams, he predicted that Mr Chernenko would die 36 days later. Indeed, 36 days later Mr Chernenko died as foretold on the 19th March.

Due to his outstanding contribution to society, the great master Shao Weihua was awarded the Certificate for world VIP in 1998 by the World Cultural and Arts Research Centre, Hong Kong and his name included in the World edition of Who's Who.

Master Shao Aidong is the only son of the great master Shao Weihua and is the thirtieth generation in the family of prophets. He was introduced to the Iching from the age of 12 by his father and is the only successor of the esoteric wisdom held by the family of prophets. Being also skilled in the essence of MEUHUA YI SHU Master Shao Aidong and his wife Master Wang Hong have also dedicated their lives to advancing the study of the Iching and carrying it to further heights by means of a new synthesis of practice and theory.
